Ralph Nader has done more for public safety than all those characters in the white house put together. The 1966 National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act alone has save 250,000 American lives since, making safety belts and nonmetal steering wheels mandatory for new car productions in the 1970's. Prior to that, metal steering wheels used to cut into people's skin and bones during accidents causing pain and sometimes instant death. That's unbeatable! Name one accomplishment that Obama or McCain did that is greater than that?!

With Nader we wouldn't be putting up with lead in paint on children's toys, poisoned peppers, tomatoes, or whatever. The man has been right on every single issue since the 1960's.

I happen to believe that voting for your conscience is not a wasted vote. Every single vote for Ralph Nader will reverberate around the country and warn the dangers of two party politics George Washington so warned us against the party system and I quote "It serves to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration....agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one....against another....it opens the door to foreign influence and corruption...thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another."

Why would you not vote for Ralph Nader?

Question #2:

How to make people take this seriously?

My son was released from prison in Jan of 08. He went to a halfway house and on May 14th of 08 he disappeared.
I was told by his parole officer that he may not have ran.. so I filed a missing person report on him. Plus there is a warrant for him now too.
He is 19 and as far as I know he is lost in a huge city. He is not used to huge cities.. he is from a small town and then in prison.
I cannot get a lot of law enforcement agencies to take me seriously.
Sure this might be a case of he just got a wild hair and decided to run. But as a mom ... I don't think that was the case. That's why he was in prison... he has never run from anything. He served his time for a crime he didn't commit. I know he didn't do it, but the judge couldn't prove it nor could he disprove it.
Anyway, I have him listed on several missing persons sites online and a state wide missing person report has been filed and is updated often if need be.
I am running into cops and other law officials that say " Ma'am, he is a young punk that is running and if he is happy on the streets then wait until he contacts you and then we will go get him." or " We aren't wasting our time,,, when he is picked up on the warrant We will let you know."
I don't know what else to do. I can't get the highway patrol to do the DNA thing even though they are sposed to.
He may be an excon but he is a kid still and missing. What do I do??
I have no money to hire a Private Detective and I don't know how to get anyone off their asses to find my kid. Or even help me by giving this case the time of day.

The parole officer is no help either... he already said that he is not looking for my son. And my son doesn't know my new phone number nor my new address... he left the day that those things were put in his mailbox. He knows no way to get ahold of me.
I was also advised by a missing person investigator not to hang flyers due to him possibly seeing them and running further.
What do I do?? What can I do? I am low income and have no car. Help me please!!
I also wanted everyone to know that I can't take the bus anywhere... there are no buses here in my town. I live almost two hours away from where he was.
Plus... to the person that said that about my son doing crimes to buy drugs.. HE DOESN'T DO DRUGS.. NEVER HAS!!

What is the procedure for taking a motorcycle for a test-ride?

Hi! I am new to biking, and am heading off to my local showroom at the weekend to view a couple of motorcycles.

I have bought a car before, and am familiar with how a test drive works; the dealer gets in beside you, and you pootle around for half an hour getting the feel for the car.

But how does this work with a motorcycle? I don't want to make a t*t out of myself! Obviously the dealer can't get on the bike with you, so how does it work? Do they just let you ride off with one of their bikes? Does the dealer follow close behind on another bike, or perhaps in a car?

I ought to point out this is a showroom for used, not new, bikes. But it is a very nice place, very clean and with a quality selection of looked-after bikes. The staff are friendly and certainly seem to know their trade!

What car to buy, I need YOUR opinion. ?

I am buying a Dodge Intrepid, just need help deciding which one. There is a 2001 with 67000 on it, or there is a 2003 with 97000 on it. I like the 01 b/c it has 30,000 less miles, but I like the 03 b/c it is 2 years newer. I am really not sure what to do. Buy the one with lower miles, or buy the newer one? Thanks!

Do i have a selfish boyfriend or am I selfish?

My fiance and I have a 50/50 relationship, we're always equal and pay half of everything together. But sometimes i can't help but think that he's really stingy and selfish with his money. I always thought that my money was his money and his was mine, so i didn't think nothing of it when we decided that all his money would go towards paying off our loans/debts while i paid for the rent, bills and our living expenses. Boy was i wrong, when we paid off a bank loan he kept saying that it was "his money" and that I contributed nothing to paying off the loan. So basically me paying for the entire rent, our food, our bills and last but not least the gas for both our cars had nothing to do with paying off the loan since technically it wasn't my money because i was too busy spending my money on "stupid" stuff like gas and food. I've already spoken to him about this and we were able to compromise, he now pays for half of everything (rent, food, etc). Now we literally go half on everything, when we go out to eat I have to pay half, when he buys me things I have to buy him something too or at least give him money that will cover for half of what he bought me-even for my birthday i had to pay for half of my gift. People think he spoils me and he goes around telling people he bought me this and that, but i'm too embarrassed to say that I paid for half of everything he ever got me. I've always thought that it was normal for boyfreinds to pay for dinner and buy nice gifts for thier gf's because they love them but apparently not in my case. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not a gold digger I met this guy when he didn't have a job, no car and living with his mom, even after he got a job and lost it I still stuck to his side, so i love him unconditionally. i also think that its unfair because all his previous ex gf's never had jobs and he use always buy them things and take them out to eat- he even admitted to me that he bought one of his ex gf $600 earrings. I work two jobs and still manage to do our laundry, make sure he has food, and make quality time for the both of us and yet I had to pay for half my birthday gift? I'm not gonna leave him beause he doesn't like paying for my things, i don't have a mentality of a gold digger but i honestly just find it embarrassing that i pay for half of everything. Am i wrong for wanting him to pay for stuff every now and then? Please give me your opinion on this.

McCain promises affordable electric cars, why vote for Obama?

My mom says that is what we need -- a little, affordable electric car and no more gas. Obama doesn't even know about my mom's idea. He just wants to drill for more gas like McCain. We don't want a gas car. I will just use my skateboard until mom gets us an electric plug in car. That will be cool.

This is in the chapter on limits in my calculus class. Car has broken speedometer but working odometer. Starting at 2:50 PM Sue started recording the time and odometer reading. Tom wants to know how fast they are traveling at 3:00 PM.

I can see that Velocity is determined by Distance Travled/Time. So in this case (42.4 – 41.5)/(3:00 – 2:59) = .9/1 = .9 miles/min So what am I missing here. What is my limit in this case? This class is by correspondence so I don't have a teacher to ask. If has been 15 years since I took algebra so be gentle and explain your answers

The question is to find the how fast they are traveling at 3:00 pm. Thats why I don't understand how the limit process applies, unless I apply it using the figures up to 3:00. A one sided limit.

He cheated; what do i do now?

So let me bring it back a little. In june me and my fiance [we have been together for 2 years] got into an argument. he told me to leave before he got home from work. so i did. i went to a friends house and cried. throughout the night he was texting and calling me telling me he wanted me to come home and that he wanted me sleeping next to him and all that. well i don't have a car and i couldn't get back to our house at 3am so i came back the next moning. he was really sick with a fever and coughing and stuff and so i took care of him we talked and the fight ws over. the thought of him cheating on me never crossed my mind. well i am a volunteer at a camp in august and so i left for a week. i called amd texted him daily. so on thursday i was really busy so i had been ignoring my phone but when i wen to check it i had like 5 texts a couple missed call and a voicemail. they all said the same type of thing that he really needed to get something off of his chest and that he had to tell me if we were going to get married that he had to clear the air and be honest with me. he told me he was really mad and hurt that i actually left the house so he went to his friends house and got high and was on his way to leave and a girl who lived down the street waved him over to her house to talk for a minute well she ended up walking him to his truck and sitting in the passenger seat and telling him how much she likes him. well one thing lead to another and they end up having sex in the back seat of his truck. and now she comes to his work all the time and texts him all the time wondering why he won't talk to her [even though she knows he is engaged!] and is saying she is pregnant. she says she went to cedar poingt last month and that a big blob of blood came out so she thought she miscarried but now she says she is having morning sickness. i think it is all a lie because i believe him that he used protection. i told him that if she is really pregnant i will leave him. but for now i want to work it out and give him one last chance. he says he regrets it and that if he could take it back he would. i just don't know how you can have sex with someone else while you are engaged to someone you claim you are in love with and want to spend the rest of your life with them. do i stay giving him a chance or do i just let it go? its been a couple days now and the arguing just continues. i can't just keep my feelings in. and it's not just one feeling it is a comcbination of feelings and i can't just hide it. what would you do if you were in my positon? and advice or thoughts would be very helpful. thanks.

Now, i know that on new tattoos you should not expose them to direct sunlight and healed tattoos you should use sunblock but what about if my new tattoos(1 week old) were exposed to direct sunlight for only about a minute at a time, like say, walking to my car or walking through a big parking lot to a store? would that short amount of direct sunlight affect it respectively? I KNOW about tattoo goo(i use it all the time), and i know about these different skin lotions and how to take care of tattoos. i just want to know about the little bit of sunlight exposure.

it's the black one... looks like an older muscle car, it looks remarkably close to the 'Stallions' in GTA III and SA (i have a hunch these were actually modeled after this car, which is why i want to know)

i can't find anything about it online.... and i really don 't feel like looking up 300 diffrent pictures of cars to track it down... it's not a traditional muscle car like a chevelle, mustang or camaro, although it does bare a similar body style to the 68 chevelles...

i'm pretty damn sure it's not a chevy of any kind... as i'm a chevy man and would like to think i'd instantly reconize it as being so.... honestly it looks more like it came from oldsmobile or buick, i'm leaning towards olds...

I married my sister best friend 5 years ago . she has never really approved of our relationship .especially at the beginning she and her fiance were so upset by it and when we decided to get married she was even more pissed but she finally came down after our first child . she started coming around more more but her fiance is still the same. he still hates my hubby as day one. Frankly i dont care about what her hubby thinks but we decided to keep a somewhat relationship for our kids . she has a daughter as well . but lately everyhting seems to be going downhill . when we found out i was prego with baby number2 we've moved to a bigger house and 3 months ago my hubby 's car got totalled and he went and got a Mercedes as his new car . 3 weeks after we all met at a party and they were driving a Jaguar and a week after they moved to better house too . one of our friend at the barbecue who knows our situation from day one made a comment and said the competition is tight . mu hubby said who is competing with who? and they all pretend to laugh. 2 nights ago she called me and asked me if i am ever planning to go back to school . i told her school is great but not in my plans right now (PS . she doesnt know about my current pregnancy yet) and she started making comments like " oh is it because hubby got lucky and found his way up there in that company without a degree that you think a degree isnt valuable .?" that went right to my nerves and hit it . i responded what does that supposed to mean and she said because at least he should telling you to go back to school now .it is been 14 months that you had the baby ? it pissed me off . and i told her i will call her later and it is been 2 days now and i havent call her . what is her issue .? is it jealousy cause i married a better guy than her fiance? is it because i am the younger one ? she has always been the favourite and the spoiled one of the family ? what the heck is wrong with her ? should i tell her i am currenlty prego so she would leave me alone .
